A Cozy Christmas at Home
This year is Tom and I’s first year as a married couple - which means our very first Christmas card! I’ve always thought photos at a Christmas tree farm were cute, but being that it’s also our first year in our house, I thought it would be best for our card to reflect that. I love a classic red and green theme, but since this was going to be our photo, I wanted it to be light and airy while still giving off cozy holiday vibes. We were able to use a lot of stuff we already had, but just changed out a few things to fit this new theme! Links to decor can be found at the bottom of this post.
Of course, in addition to decor, it’s important to find a photographer who can achieve that light airy look! And nobody does it better than the sweet Caitlin Ito. She not only is a talented photographer, but a fun one too! We played Christmas music during the shoot and she encouraged Tom and I to dance, play patty cake, and cuddle up close. We had so much fun shooting with her and love how her photos made our home feel like it belonged in a magazine!
Last but not least, we of course had to include the fur babies! As someone with an indoor cat, that was another added benefit of taking our Christmas photos at home. It’s pretty unlikely that she will make it into other Christmas cards (without the help of Photoshop, that is), so having her in these photos is so special!
